Condition grades provide a general summary. The written description and listing photographs contain the item-specific details and always take priority over the general grade.

01 / CONDITION SCALE

How sourced goods are graded.

NOS

New Old Stock

An older item believed to be unused. Original packaging may show storage wear, fading, deformation or age. The presence of packaging does not automatically mean the item is sealed or complete unless the listing says so.

N

New

A contemporary or recently produced item sold as new. Packaging, labels and included components are described in the listing.

A

Excellent Vintage Condition

A well-preserved older item with limited visible wear. Minor age-related characteristics may still be present and will be photographed or described where noticeable.

B

Good Vintage Condition

A presentable item with visible evidence of age or previous use. Wear may include fading, marks, scratches, loose threads, minor corrosion, small repairs or similar characteristics.

C

Used Condition

An item showing clear and sometimes substantial wear. The item may remain wearable, usable or displayable, but customers should carefully review every condition photograph and note.

P

Project Condition

An incomplete, damaged or heavily worn item intended for repair, restoration, parts, reference or display. No assumption of immediate functionality should be made.

UT

Untested

ZANJPN has not confirmed functionality. Untested does not mean working, and it does not mean broken. The buyer should treat functionality as unknown.

02 / APPAREL

Vintage sizing is not standardized.

Measurements

Use the numbers, not only the tag.

Japanese sizing, vintage sizing and modern North American sizing may differ significantly. Compare the listing measurements with a similar garment that already fits.

Wear

Look closely.

Listings may document fading, stains, loose stitching, abrasion, repairs, odour, missing hardware, altered hems or other evidence of age and previous use.

01 Compare chest width with a garment that fits comfortably.
02 Review sleeve, shoulder and body-length measurements.
03 Read every flaw note and inspect every photograph.
04 Ask questions before purchasing if a measurement is unclear.
03 / PARTS

Identification is not fitment.

Vehicle references and part numbers are provided to assist with identification. Buyers remain responsible for determining whether an item is correct for a specific vehicle, year, trim level or use.

Compare

Part Numbers

Match complete part numbers, manufacturer markings and revisions whenever visible.

Inspect

Mounting Points

Compare dimensions, brackets, bolt spacing, tabs, connectors and orientation.

Confirm

Application

Vehicle specifications can vary by market, year and trim. Independent verification is always recommended.

Patina is information. Every mark tells you where to look.
04 / QUESTIONS
