These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made from ZANJPN and use of the ZANJPN online store. By accessing the store, placing an order, or completing a purchase, you agree to these terms and the store’s posted policies.
1. STORE INFORMATION
ZANJPN operates from Alberta, Canada and sells vintage apparel, used and period automotive parts, collectibles, Japanese car-culture goods, and original ZANJPN merchandise.
Product availability, pricing, descriptions, and store policies may be updated without notice.
2. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
By placing an order, you confirm that:
• The information provided at checkout is accurate and complete
• You are legally able to complete the purchase
• You have reviewed the product description, photographs, measurements, condition notes, and available specifications
• You have reviewed the shipping, final-sale, and privacy policies
• The item can legally be purchased, owned, imported, and used in your location
• You accept responsibility for applicable duties, taxes, brokerage fees, and import requirements
3. PRODUCT CONDITION
Many ZANJPN products are vintage, used, uncommon, discontinued, or one of one.
Sourced goods may show signs of age or previous use, including wear, fading, marks, scratches, repairs, oxidation, staining, missing packaging, manufacturing variation, or other characteristics consistent with their history.
These characteristics are not considered defects when shown in photographs or disclosed in the listing.
Every reasonable effort is made to describe and photograph products accurately. Colours and appearance may vary slightly because of lighting, photography, and display settings.
Original packaging, documentation, hardware, or accessories are included only when shown or specifically stated in the listing.
4. APPAREL AND SIZING
Garment sizing varies between manufacturers, regions, and production periods. Vintage Japanese sizing may differ significantly from current North American sizing.
Customers are responsible for comparing the listed measurements with a similar item that fits. Label size alone should not be used to determine fit.
An item not fitting as expected does not qualify for a return, exchange, or refund.
5. AUTOMOTIVE PARTS AND COMPATIBILITY
Customers are responsible for confirming part compatibility before purchasing.
Vehicle names, model references, approximate applications, dimensions, and part numbers are provided to assist with identification. They do not guarantee compatibility unless the listing expressly states that compatibility has been verified.
Customers should compare part numbers, dimensions, connectors, mounting points, photographs, and vehicle specifications before ordering.
ZANJPN is not responsible for incorrect fitment, installation problems, modifications, labour charges, vehicle damage, or costs arising from the purchase, installation, removal, testing, or use of a part.
Automotive parts should be inspected and installed by a suitably qualified person.
6. PRICES AND PAYMENT
Prices are displayed in the currency identified by the store. Shipping, taxes, duties, brokerage fees, and import charges may be additional.
Payment must be successfully authorized before an order is processed.
ZANJPN may correct an obvious pricing, inventory, or listing error. If an error affects an order, the customer will be contacted and the affected item may be cancelled and refunded.
7. ORDER ACCEPTANCE
Submitting payment does not guarantee that an order has been accepted.
ZANJPN may cancel or decline an order because of:
• Inventory errors
• Pricing or listing errors
• Suspected fraud
• Payment problems
• Shipping restrictions
• Import or legal restrictions
• An incomplete or invalid address
• An item being unavailable or unsuitable for shipment
• Other reasonable operational or security concerns
If ZANJPN cancels an order after payment has been collected, the amount collected for the cancelled item will be refunded through the applicable payment method.
8. ALL SALES FINAL
Due to the vintage, used, uncommon, and often one-of-one nature of the inventory, all sales are final.
ZANJPN does not accept returns or exchanges for:
• Change of mind
• Incorrect sizing
• Buyer preference
• Disclosed wear or condition
• Compatibility or fitment issues
• Minor colour differences
• Missing packaging not promised in the listing
• Customs charges or import restrictions
• Delivery delays outside ZANJPN’s control
This does not remove any right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.
9. ORDER CANCELLATIONS
Orders cannot normally be cancelled after checkout.
Customers should contact ZANJPN immediately if a cancellation is requested. Requests are reviewed individually and are not guaranteed, particularly after an order has been packed, processed, or transferred to a carrier.
10. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Orders are shipped according to the processing times and methods described in the Shipping and Deliveries policy.
Delivery dates are estimates provided by carriers and are not guaranteed. ZANJPN is not responsible for delays caused by weather, customs, service interruptions, remote destinations, incorrect addresses, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional costs resulting from an incorrect address, refused delivery, failed delivery, or unclaimed package may be charged to the customer.
11. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
International customers are responsible for:
• Duties and taxes
• Brokerage and customs fees
• Import restrictions
• Required permits or documentation
• Confirming that the product can legally enter the destination country
ZANJPN does not control customs decisions and cannot guarantee that an item will be admitted into another country.
12. DAMAGED, INCORRECT, OR MISDESCRIBED ORDERS
If an order arrives damaged, contains the wrong item, or differs materially from its listing, contact ZANJPN within 3 calendar days of confirmed delivery.
Include:
• The order number
• A description of the issue
• Photographs of the item
• Photographs of the exterior package
• Photographs of the shipping label
• Photographs of the internal packaging
Keep the item and all packaging materials until the review is complete.
Do not install, modify, clean, repair, wear, or use an item being reported. Altering or using the item may prevent the issue from being properly assessed.
If an eligible issue is confirmed, ZANJPN will determine an appropriate resolution based on the circumstances. One-of-one goods may not be replaceable.
13. PERSONAL AND COMMERCIAL USE
ZANJPN photographs, logos, graphics, descriptions, videos, and original designs may not be copied, reproduced, modified, distributed, or used commercially without written permission.
Purchasing a product does not transfer ownership of any related intellectual property.
Vintage trademarks and branding shown on sourced goods remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not necessarily indicate sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
14. PROHIBITED USE
The store must not be used to:
• Commit fraud or unlawful activity
• Submit false or misleading information
• Interfere with store security or operation
• Introduce malicious software
• Collect information about other customers
• Copy or exploit store content without authorization
• Attempt an unauthorized transaction
• Violate another party’s rights
Access may be restricted when misuse, fraud, or security threats are reasonably suspected.
15. LIMITATION OF RESPONSIBILITY
To the extent permitted by law, ZANJPN is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the purchase, installation, use, misuse, or resale of a product.
Automotive parts, accessories, and older goods should be inspected before use. Customers assume responsibility for determining whether an item is safe and suitable for the intended purpose.
Nothing in these terms limits responsibility where such a limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
16. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The store uses third-party services such as Big Cartel, payment processors, and delivery providers.
Those services operate under their own terms and policies. ZANJPN is not responsible for an independent service provider’s website, system availability, privacy practices, or actions outside ZANJPN’s reasonable control.
17. POLICY CHANGES
These Terms and Conditions may be updated when store operations, services, inventory, or legal requirements change.
The current version will be posted through the ZANJPN store with its latest revision date. The terms in effect when an order is placed will generally apply to that transaction.
18. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of Alberta and Canada, without limiting any consumer protection that legally applies in the customer’s location.
