ARCHIVE NOTES
The Skyline 2000GT-R traces its bloodline to 1964, the year celebrated on this jacket. At the second Japan Grand Prix that year, the Prince Skyline GT — powered by the S54's 2.0-litre straight-six — famously took on far more exotic machinery, and its spirited performance became the founding legend of the Skyline GT lineage. That heritage led directly to the first Skyline GT-R (PGC10) of 1969 and every GT-R that followed. The back passage retells that origin story, and "MOTOR SPORTS SINCE 1964" marks the year it all began.
