ARCHIVE NOTES
The "Type 2 Westfalia" name references one of the most beloved vehicles Volkswagen ever built: the VW Type 2 — the Transporter / Microbus / Kombi — as converted by Westfalia-Werke into the iconic camper van. From the 1950s onward, Westfalia's camping conversions of the rear-engined VW bus turned the Type 2 into the definitive symbol of road-trip and van-life culture worldwide, and surviving Westfalia campers are now highly collected. Officially licensed VW heritage apparel like this hooded parka draws on that camper-van legacy, pairing utilitarian outdoor styling with the Volkswagen and Westfalia marks.
