ARCHIVE NOTES
The Rolex 24 At Daytona is North America's premier round-the-clock sports-car endurance race, held each winter at Daytona International Speedway and title-sponsored by Rolex, whose Cosmograph Daytona chronograph is synonymous with motorsport timing. The 2004 running dated on this jacket — January 31 to February 1, 2004 — was part of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series era, contested by Daytona Prototypes and GT machinery. Dated official event apparel like this is collected as a fixed point in racing history: it can only ever refer to that single weekend.
